Gold Humanism Honor Society election results
Earlier this week, the UW Chapter of Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) held their election. Students were selected using a process that incorporates peer nominations, application and essays. The students’ names were de-identified during the election process.
Election to this honor society occurs once per year and students are eligible once during their medical school training, though they are eligible to be elected throughout their careers as resident or faculty chapter members.
Here is the list of newly selected GHHS members who have permitted us to share their names, and join us in congratulating them!

Peer to peer: Road to Residency Tip of the Month
Now can be a great time to start brainstorming ideas for your personal statement using the Personal Statement Worksheet. It is nice to have your personal statement started early so you know your narrative well when asked about it on your rotations in your desired field. You’ll also be able to give the statement to your letter of recommendation writers, so they get to know you better. They may even offer feedback! Of course, you’ll add more to the personal statement after your summer rotations, but you can get started on it now using the Career Advising resources.
