Held annually on the 3rd Friday of March, Match Day is the day when students learn where they have matched for residency. Results are released online by the NRMP at 9am PT. Students who match through the early match systems (military, ophthalmology, urology, or Canadian) are invited to participate in the larger Match Day event. Individual results are not announced or posted publicly.
Match celebrations are typically hosted in-person at several sites throughout the WWAMI region. Please check with your WWAMI site for specific celebration details and to see if celebrations are open to family and friends.
