MS1 Class Information – July 14, 2022

Orientation information

If you’re in the regions of Alaska and Montana that have not started orientation yet, please check out last week’s newsletter for a list of things to know and to do.

When it comes to precautions during the pandemic, please follow the recommendation of your local campus. A note for Seattle students: Because of the state of the pandemic, masks are strongly recommended indoors. Surgical masks and higher-level masks will be available throughout Orientation; Seattle students can also get masks in T-291.

ICYMI: Apply for testing/classroom accommodations now, if applicable

If you need testing and/or other accommodations for medical school, contact the UW Disability Resources for Students (DRS) office now. All accommodations are processed through UW DRS, irrespective of your Foundations site. Review and approval of the accommodations application takes four to six weeks before accommodations can be implemented by the UW School of Medicine. Contact UW DRS as soon as possible to begin this process.
