A message from Sara Kim, Associate Dean for Educational Quality Improvement: Thank you so much for helping reach 75.6 percent participation this week—an increase of 5 percentage points from the last week’s survey response rate. We are so close to the goal of 80 percent at the school level.
Three campuses that have exceeded or met the goal are Wyoming (95 percent), Gonzaga (83.3 percent), and Montana (80 percent), followed by Alaska (77.8 percent), Seattle, (70.4 percent), and Idaho (62.5 percent). Here are the campuses with an increase in the survey response rates over the past week: Gonzaga, up 11.6 percentage points, Montana, up 6.7 percentage points, Seattle (up 4.1 percentage points), and Idaho (up 2.5 percentage points).

We will keep the survey open till May 31, 2022. The survey link is emailed to you directly from eqi@uw.edu. Please know we only use your email addresses for tracking survey completion; your responses are anonymous.

Action required for disability accommodations for clerkship locations (if needed)
Students who require clerkship location accommodations to manage their personal medical conditions/disabilities must apply for and be approved by the University’s Disability Resources for Students (DRS) office prior to July 1. Because it can take two to five weeks, sometimes longer, to be approved for accommodation with DRS, you should start the process as soon as possible (and no later than June 27).
- If you are not currently registered with DRS, please fill out a “new student application” and submit your documentation via the DRS services website.
- If you are already receiving accommodation through DRS and want to discuss clerkship location, please schedule an appointment with Meghan Matthews, meghanm7@uw.edu.

Career Advising Student Advisory Board – Tip of the Month
If you’re leaning toward a specialty (or a couple) and have already met with Career Advising, review when you can meet with your Specialty Career Advisor! It’s great to get on their radar early, but make sure you bring specific questions. Use this website to prepare for your meeting. Be ready to share your summer plans with them and ask if they have any suggestions (e.g., presenting your summer project at a specific conference, extra shadowing, volunteering, etc.).
