Final Reminder 2021 AAMC Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ)
We really appreciate those of you who have filled out the Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) to date. The American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) administers the MSQ to all incoming medical students across the country. The data serves as an informative baseline for the school in the context of the national data and contributes to gaining a historical perspective on our incoming students over the years. The information you provide will contribute greatly to improving our school.
If you have not filled out the MSQ, please complete the survey by September 15, 2021. The survey link was sent to your email by AAMC. Your next (and final) reminder from the AAMC will be sent to you on September 1.
Career Advising Student Advisory Board – Tip of the Month
Welcome!! Every month you’ll get a tip in this newsletter to help you stay on track from a career advising standpoint. You’ve gotten (or will soon get) tons of emails about extracurriculars! This may seem overwhelming during MCBD but think big picture about what might interest you career-wise. If you can, try to take on a leadership position for an interest group, volunteer project, or committee! Make sure you don’t overcommit but picking 1-2 extracurriculars this year to pour into is a fantastic way to kick off med school! Pathway applications will also open this fall and can be helpful in learning how to better serve minoritized communities!
