Support for students applying into surgical specialties
Are you applying into a surgical specialty? The UW chapter of Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) will be hosting a mock interview night over Zoom for fourth-year students who are currently in the process of applying into surgical specialties. The program will include one to two 15-minute practice interviews with feedback, followed by some group time for questions and overall advice.
This will be a great opportunity to practice interviewing with a surgical resident who has recently gone through the process. Save the date for either Monday, Nov. 18, or Tuesday, Nov. 19, starting at 6 p.m. AK, 7 p.m. PT, 8 p.m. MT. A signup link will be sent out in next week’s newsletter once the final date has been set. Please feel free to reach out to Sasha Smerekanych at sashsmer@uw.edu with any questions.
Updates on Public Service Loan Forgiveness
The next AAMC financial aid webinar will be Updates on Public Service Loan Forgiveness on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. AK, 11 a.m. PT, noon MT. For more information, see the registration link.
