60 first-year UW School of Medicine-Spokane students received their white coats on September 6, 2024. The white coat signifies a medical student’s entrance into the medical profession and commitment to their future patients. More than 400 friends, family and faculty members joined this vibrant celebration.
Renѐ Caro, a fourth-year medical student who began his career path with the Spokane Foundations program in 2021, delivered an eloquent and inspirational speech as the White Coat Ceremony guest speaker.
