About/Mission Statement
QMed is the Queer medical student organization at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
QMed is comprised of students and staff that are both queer and straight allies that believe in the importance of equality in healthcare for all people.
The mission of QMed is to provide education and information to the medical community and all that are interested in healthcare issues affecting the Queer (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, etc.) populations.
QMed strives to ensure a welcoming, respectful and safe academic environment for Queer students at the UW School of Medicine throughout WWAMI.
We are committed to supporting a diverse community and will provide resources and support for Queer students.
