The Medical Education Policy & Procedure (MEPP) Committee is tasked with standardizing and ensuring clarity of medical education policies and procedures by providing oversight on the development, revision, approval and organization of policies across the school.
The group’s first phase of recommendations included the creation of a policy on policies and a standardized template for all policies in the school.
The second phase of work consolidated the Academic Policy Manual and M.D. Student Handbook by appropriately categorizing policies and non-policies. You can access the consolidated new M.D. Program Handbook online through the new website, which is regularly maintained with most up-to-date policy modifications.
The third phase of this group will create an internal database management system of all policies for staff and faculty. Ongoing work continues with stakeholders to improve the clarity, purpose and language in all written policies.
