Clarifying who can apply for the Winn Pathway Program
Last week, we shared information about The Robert A. Winn Clinical Investigator Pathway Program (Winn CIPP), a 6-week intensive and immersive summer service-learning externship that provides medical students with experience in clinical research conducted in community-based clinical research settings.
It is important to note that there is an in-person component June 9 to July 20, 2025. MS2s and MS3s are eligible if they do not have commitments for that time period (for example, are not enrolled in another course/clerkship).

ICYMI: N95 Fit Testing for second-year students is due by Dec. 6
A Dec.6, 2024 deadline applies to students beginning or continuing in Patient Care Phase clerkships in the academic year (AY) 2025-26. E23 MSTP students and E-23 students who will be on a leave of absence for the entirety of AY 2025-26 are exempt from this requirement.
The deadline for completing this requirement is Dec. 6, regardless of when you are starting your first PCP clerkship.

ICYMI: Compliance deadline for data stewardship is Nov. 15, 2024
UW Medicine requires all medical students to learn how to properly safeguard confidential information and comply with standards for personal accountability for data stewardship. All students, including concurrent degree/MSTP students and students on leave of absence, are required to maintain compliance. Please complete the UW Privacy, Confidentiality, and Information Security Agreement (PCISA) requirement in the To-Do List of your UW71 CastleBranch account [mycb.castlebranch.com]. The deadline is Nov. 15, 2024.
