AAMC hosts Virtual Specialty Forum on March 23
The annual Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Virtual Specialty Forum is Thursday, March 23. The three-hour session starts at 9 a.m. AK, 10 a.m. PT and 11 a.m. MT.
The forum will inform first- and second-year medical students about specialties and specialty information. This free event enables students to chat directly with representatives such as program directors, residents and faculty, from more than 17 specialties and AAMC staff through a live session and a virtual exhibit hall.
Information and recordings will be archived and accessible to registered students who cannot attend the live event. Registration is now open.
Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month
Muscles, Joints, Bones & Skin (MJBS) can be a demanding block. This month’s tip is to remember that all the physicians teaching and mentoring you at this stage are possible resources even beyond the classroom. Get to know your small group leads! You can always ask them about what their specialty is like and how they decided on a specialty when they were in your shoes!
