ICYMI: Deadline to sign up for mock interviews is Friday, tomorrow, Oct. 7

A message from the Career Advising office: Congratulations on submitting your Electronic Residency application! Your next step is to begin prepping for your interviews.

Based on faculty availability, we hope to offer virtual mock interviews on a first-come, first-served basis in October and November. Interviews will not be specialty-specific. Space is limited. Please have patience as the staff member who ran the mock interview program for the past three years is no longer working in UWSOM Student Affairs. In the meantime, we also recommend you identify a few people who can help you start to practice interview questions. Get more resources here on the Interviewing for Residency resources page.

Sign up for the mock interview here.

Signups close on Oct. 7, 2022, at 10:59 p.m. AK, 11:59 p.m. PT and 12:59 a.m. MT. Submissions will not be accepted after this time.

Once faculty confirm their availability with Student Affairs, you will either receive an email with the name and contact information for your faculty interviewer or be advised that you are on a waitlist for a mock interview. If you are offered a mock interview, you are expected to contact the faculty member to arrange a mutually convenient interview time, and send the faculty member your personal statement, ERAS CV and a copy of your Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) three to five days prior to your mock interview. More details to come.
