Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month

Welcome back! Mind, Brain & Behavior (MBB) is a rigorous block, so make sure this is your main focus. In the background, especially if you didn’t have time over summer, try to sprinkle in some Step 1 prep this fall. A good option is to get through as much Sketchy pharm and micro as you can (best with Anki, a free flashcard program). Pixorize is a similar visual resource that covers those tough topics from Molecular & Cellular Basis of Disease (MCBD). I know Step 1 is pass/fail, but as someone who just took Step 2, I can say that a lot carries over, and you’ll thank yourself for taking Step 1 seriously. 😊 Knowing Sketchy will also set you up for success on rotations, as you’ll get asked these questions in person and on the shelf exams!
