HONORS

Student Marin Cabrera honored with scholarship

MS3 Marin Cabrera (Seattle) has been selected for the 2022-2023 ElevateMeD Scholars cohort.  Twenty medical students from across the country were selected to join the program and will each receive a $10,000 scholarship.

 

UPDATES

Inspired by his own journey and the barriers he faced, Idaho WWAMI first-year medical student (MS1) Adolfo Andazola-Carmona created the Idaho Hispanic Health Student Association with other students at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Andazola-Carmona is a first-generation college student and the recipient of a scholarship funded by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Third-year Idaho WWAMI student Mike Reynolds was featured on the University of Idaho website for the incredible work he is doing around adolescent suicide prevention in Jerome, Idaho. As part of his medical training, Reynolds is introducing suicide prevention training to the Jerome School District.  Watch a video here about his work:
