ACADEMIC YEAR Spring 2024 to Winter 2025
- Perform a neurologic exam with proficiency in either the reflex or sensory exam in a clinical setting
- Participate in the care of patients with neurological diseases in each of the following categories:
- Demyelinating disease
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Movement disorder
- Neuromuscular disease
- Seizure disorder
- Cerebrovascular disease
- Demonstrate an understanding of:
- Brain
- Brain stem
- Spinal cord
- Motor neuron
- Peripheral nerve
- Neuromuscular junction
- Muscle with localization of injury
- Solicit and apply feedback to improve clinical skills
- Identify an area of knowledge gap related to the field of neurology, appraise the scientific literature and give a presentation of the topic
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, colleagues and staff
- Discuss a bioethics issue in neurologic care via written reflection
- Work collaboratively with team members including faculty, staff and other students
