The UW School of Medicine made changes after The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) determined that element 12.4, which addresses student access to health care services during clinical training, is unsatisfactory. Learn much more about policy changes and the availability of centralized, useful information in this full Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) report: LCME Accreditation Status Report Update – 12.4 Student Access to Health Care Services.

The Educational Quality Improvement (EQI) team thanks the MS3 and MS4 classes for your input, especially your candid comments on the survey. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact eqi@uw.edu.

Information for students taking Clinical Clerkships during Winter 2024

Students taking clinical clerkships during Winter Quarter 2024 should log in to MyUW and verify your registration for CONJ 699. The deadline is 3 p.m. AK, 4 p.m. PT, 5 p.m. MT on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023.

If you are not registered but should be: You will not be registered for courses during Winter 2024, which begins on Monday, January 1, 2024. Without registering you will not receive credit for the courses, they will not appear on your transcript, and you will not be on track to graduate.

If you are registered but should not be: You will be charged for courses you do not attend and may receive a failing grade.

UWSOM Registration has registered students for Winter quarter clerkships with the UW Office of the University Registrar. If you are taking SOM clinical courses during the Winter Quarter, it is your responsibility to verify that you are registered correctly for CONJ 699. Questions? Contact somreg@uw.edu.
