ICYMI: AAMC hosts Virtual Specialty Forum on March 23

The annual Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Virtual Specialty Forum is Thursday, March 23. The three-hour session starts at 9 a.m. AK, 10 a.m. PT and 11 a.m. MT.

The forum will inform first- and second-year medical students about specialties and specialty information. This free event enables students to chat directly with representatives such as program directors, residents and faculty, from more than 17 specialties and AAMC staff through a live session and a virtual exhibit hall.

Information and recordings will be archived and accessible to registered students who cannot attend the live event. Registration is now open.

Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month

If you haven’t met with your Career Advisor yet, get your meeting scheduled between now and May at a time that works with your schedule! Your Career Advisor can talk with you about your specialty interests including the timing of when you’ll get connected with Specialty Advisors. Read the Extracurriculars section of the Specialty Guides for two specialties of interest to you.
