Road to Residency Video Series Launches: Supporting You with Specialty Exploration and Residency Planning During Patient Care Phase

In preparation for the start of clerkships your Career Advisors have developed a short video series as part of the Road to Residency program. The Specialty Exploration and Residency Planning in Patient Care Phase Clerkships series will help you:

  • Understand the specialty exploration approach, key planning strategies, timelines and support teams
  • Lay the groundwork for residency application

We hope these videos help you with your career exploration and reflection as you experience the clinical phase of medical school:

Video 1: Evaluating Specialty Fit and Understanding Applicant Characteristics (15 minutes)

Video 2: Career Planning Timeline & Career Advising Support Team (7 minutes)

Video 3: Planning for Your Elective Block (4 minutes)

Career Advisors (Linh, Sarah and Tonja) are available to answer your quick questions in Office Hours via Zoom, M-W, 12-1pm PT or longer questions by scheduling an appointment. As a note, Career Advisors will be providing support to MS4s during Match Week, March 17-21, and will not be available for Office Hours or Appointments this week. We will resume with our normal schedule the week of March 24th.

ICYMI: Have Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) Reviewed by Career Advising
