Request Process Instructions for UWORLD Step 2 CK Subscription

Target Audience:

  • Students who are:
    • You are a student entering or currently in patient care phase clerkships;
    • OR, you plan to take Step 2 CK within one year; 
    • AND, have not previously received a UWORLD Step 2 CK subscription

Action Item:

  • Request subscription for UWORLD Step 2 CK, if appropriate.
  • Please review and complete the UWorld Step 2 CK Subscription Request Microsoft Form to request a Step 2 CK UWORLD subscription by December 1, 2025 (by midnight PST). This form opens for submissions on November 3, 2025.

Subscription Information:

The University of Washington School of Medicine is excited to provide your class with a 180-day subscription to the UWORLD Step 2 CK question bank, including access to practice exams. We hope this will be a valuable resource.

Important Information:

  • Subscriptions are issued once per year. If you choose not to Request at this time, you will have another opportunity in Autumn 2026.
  • Once activated, the 180-day subscription cannot be paused or suspended, and it will run continuously.
  • Students will have ONE opportunity to extend their 6-month subscription at a heavily discounted rate, once, at the time of activation.
  • Extending the subscription for 1 year can span 3rd year (PCP) clerkships. Extending the subscription for 2 years typically spans PCP clerkships, student’s Step 2 CK dedicated study period and 4th year (E&F) clerkships and serves as a resource for 4th year EM & Neuro clerkship exams.
  • We recommend that students consider purchasing a 1- or 2-year subscription to UWORLD that will last throughout 3rd or 4th  year clerkships.
  • Once your subscriptions are released in Winter 2026, UWORLD will send you instructions on how to set up your account including the activation process.
  • UWORLD will specify a deadline to activate your subscription.
  • UWSOM does not pay for subscription extensions, and UWORLD does not typically offer additional institutional discounts.
  • UWORLD will not provide any refunds for subscriptions previously purchased.
