ICYMI: Have Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) Reviewed by Career Advising

We encourage students to have their medical school CV written prior to starting the clinical years of medical school. Please sign up for an upcoming CV Group Review Session by Career Advising

All sessions are virtual and run 12:00-12:30pm PT. Open to all students. Click this link to register – space is limited.

In advance of the session a Career Advisor will review your CV and provide personalized feedback. During the group session, we will address common themes for improvement and answer your questions.

Instructions for how to prepare are given at the time of registration. Visit Career Advising’s CV webpage for more information and to download the UWSOM Medical School CV Template.

Upcoming Sessions

Peer to Peer: Tip of the Month from Career Advising

This advice is for all students and includes first generation and BIPOC student lenses.

MS1: If you haven’t met with your career advisor  yet, schedule an appointment by the end of May! (The only exception is March 17-21, when the Career Advisors will be busy supporting MS4s with SOAP/Match Week.) Your career advisor will talk with you about your specialty interests, including the timing of connecting with specialty advisors. Read the extracurriculars advice found in the Foundations Phase section of the Specialty Guides for two specialties that you are interested in.
