Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month

This advice is for all MS1 students and includes first generation and BIPOC student lenses.

We hope you enjoyed Spring break! If you are unsure about what specialties to explore that might align with your interests, revisit your AAMC assessments. If you haven’t already, discuss them with your College Mentor and your career advisor.

Your results can help guide your volunteering, research, leadership, and/or shadowing plans for this spring and into summer. Don’t forget to meet with your career advisor by mid-May if you haven’t already.

Also, did you know that Career Advising maintains a Recording Library containing hundreds of interest group sessions related to career and specialty exploration? Access the Recording Library directly via Media Site, or use the “Specialty Videos & Podcasts” link in each of the Specialty Guides. These videos are great ways to explore different career paths!
