What Happens with Your Learning Environment Feedback

Upon submission of a non-anonymous learning environment concern (low respect scores, mistreatment experienced or witnessed, and/or other confidential comments) via eValue evaluations and/or the aLERT (Learning Environment Reporting Tool), students will receive a confirmation email with a ticket number for tracking purposes. Additionally, students who submitted with their UW net ID can track status via the new online Learning Environment Feedback Tracker.

Next, the Incident Response and Oversight Committee (IROC) deans review and discuss the student’s submission in detail and designate the responsible party to take action in response—typically, clerkship directors, foundations/clinical deans, and department chairs—and agree on a color rating that, along with the student’s preferences, determines the date the ticket will be released to them. Students then receive an email confirming completion of IROC’s review and the date the ticket will be released to the responsible party for action. Note: All tickets are de-identified (names and dates are removed).

The responsible party determines the action(s) to be taken and, once completed, the student receives a final email update notifying them that action has been taken and the ticket is closed.
