SOM Large Group Rooms: Departmental Spaces
The SOM Curriculum office maintains departmental blockout times in lecture halls T435 and T439. Exact times may vary by quarter, but generally:
- Both rooms are blocked out every weekday afternoon until 5:20 PM
- One room is blocked out on Monday and Friday mornings (primarily for exams)
Priority is given to required courses in the MD program. Other courses may be able to reserve these rooms during these blockout times as availability allows.
To reserve T435 or T439, please email somrooms@uw.edu and include the following info:
- Name of the event;
- Course, organization, or group hosting the event;
- Preferred location (T435, T439, or both);
- Start and end time for the event;
- Date(s) for the event;
- Approximate number of people attending (e.g., 50 people);
- AV needs;
- Point of contact for event, as well as best email for that point of contact.
Please note that departmental holds may be removed from T435 and T439 during Finals Week in Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters. (Please consult the UW Academic Calendar for specific dates.) In these cases, the SOM Rooms team will make alternate arrangements with Health Sciences Classroom Services.
