Annual Infection Control Training Due August 10

All matriculated UWSOM students, including those on leave of absence and MSTP students in graduate school, must complete the annual Infection Control Training by August 10, 2026.

To complete the requirement, log in to Canvas using your UW NetID and self-enroll in the course. Training includes reviewing PPE donning/doffing materials, completing an attestation, finishing the Required Clinician modules, and passing a brief quiz with a score of at least 80%. Compliance is verified automatically—no documentation needs to be submitted.

Students are also encouraged to bookmark the Blood and Body Fluid Exposure reporting page on their mobile devices for quick access during clinical training. Students who do not complete the requirement by the deadline will receive a Final Notice and will be ineligible for the Compliance Award. Questions may be directed to somcompl@uw.edu or lbellis@uw.edu.
