Residents in Medicine Directory: Sign Up Now! 

On Monday, March 30, you should have received an email from Career Advising encouraging you to sign up for the Residents in Medicine (RIM) Directory. Please consider paying it forward to UWSOM students by signing up! By signing up for the RIM Directory, current students may contact you about your residency program, specialty pathway, career choice, and/or the residency application process in general. Signing up is completely optional and your information will be stored in a secure, password-protected online directory accessible only to current UWSOM students. 


Specialty & Residency Planning Survey for Match 2027 

On Friday April 3rd, all MS3s and expanded MS4s will receive an email from medadv@quemailserver.com with the Subject Line Response Needed: Specialty & Residency Planning Survey for Match 2027 – Due April 13.The email contains a Qualtrics survey link and is a trustworthy email. As Qualtrics is a new resource for UWSOM, the email may say “from an untrusted sender,” but this is a trustworthy link for a required survey. 


AAMC Grad Questionnaire Update: Week #4

Thank you to the 116 of you who have helped bring our response rate up to 41% this week (National: 51%), marking a 4% increase from last week. We are half-way to our goal!  You can see the graph above for a breakdown of response rates by Foundations site. This survey, designed for all graduating medical students, provides national benchmarks in areas such as curriculum, student services, and the learning environment. Your feedback directly shapes how we improve the UWSOM medical education program for future students. 

Your personalized survey link was sent from gq@aamc.org on March 1, with a follow-up reminder on March 15. Please look for the subject line, “Your link to the 2026 AAMC Medical School Graduation Questionnaire (GQ),” or search your inbox for an email from gq@aamc.org. 

By filling out the survey, you could win up to $50 for your participation!

Vote Now for Physician’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony Keynote Speaker 

Voting is now open for you to select the keynote speaker for the Physician’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony via the following link: Keynote speaker voting form 

Voting will close at on Wednesday, April 8. Information about the nominees, including their specialty, WWAMI location, and speaker history, can be found in the survey.  


Registration is Now Open for the Physician’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony 

The Physician’s Oath and Hooding Ceremony is the acknowledgment by the School of Medicine of the completion of your medical training. At the ceremony, you will be invested with your doctoral hood and recite the Physician’s Oath. Attendance at the UWSOM Physician’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony is optional. All graduates (including those who are not planning to attend) must complete the registration form so that staff can plan accordingly. Please complete the following form before 12 PM PT on Friday, April 17: Registration form
