The UWSOM Weekly Student Newsletter is produced by Academic, Rural and Regional Affairs to share important information with students. The newsletter is distributed on Thursday afternoons and contains information you need to know from Student Affairs, Academic Support, Curriculum, Career Advising, the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid and other departments.

FAQ

How can I provide content to the newsletter? The newsletter is sent out on Thursday afternoons. Deadline to submit content is 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. You can email information to mlorbera@uw.edu.

What types of content are accepted? Please note that we accept two distinct types of content: “Regular submissions” include social/career/networking events, resources, etc. and should be applicable to your classmates across WWAMI (though we can differentiate by MS1, MS2, etc. in the class update sections). “Story submissions” can be anything related to your medical education and extracurriculars, and will run in the WWAMI Community Stories section at the bottom of the main newsletter. Story submissions can include site-specific projects or event recaps.

I would like students to be subjects in my research study. Can I use the newsletter to get word out to students? The Student Affairs office screens all requests. Please contact Gabriel Sarah at gesarah@uw.edu with any requests..
