During the Foundations Phase, registration is managed differently depending on whether your Foundations site is within Washington (Seattle or Spokane) or outside of Washington (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming).

Foundation Site Students: Seattle & Spokane

Self-registration is completed via MyUW. Students will receive an email from the UW School of Medicine Registration and Records team (somreg@uw.edu) typically titled “ACTION NEEDED: Registration Instructions” each quarter with instructions on what courses and 5-digit course codes (called SLNs – Schedule Line Number) are needed for that specific quarter.

The UW School of Medicine Registration and Records team (somreg@uw.edu) will send you an email each quarter after they have completed registering you asking that you verify your registration.
IMPORTANT! This is in addition to any required enrollment through the Foundations site’s partner institutions (University of Alaska Fairbanks, University of Idaho, Montana State University, and University of Wyoming).
All medical school courses will appear on your UW transcript.
