Kellie Engle, longtime staff member and director with the School of Medicine, will bring her 33 years of institutional knowledge to a new role, beginning June 1, 2025: Assistant Dean for Accreditation, a repositioning of Dr. Sara Kim’s role.
Kellie’s career at UW includes the past 11 years serving as the director of Curriculum, four years as the director of Regional Affairs, and 18 years working for the Department of Internal Medicine which included many years as the lead administrator for the internal medicine clerkship. Additionally, Kellie spent two years in Spokane working with the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
When asked what she’s looking forward to in her new role, Kellie said, “I’m looking forward to bringing my direct experience with medical education to support the school and help showcase the outstanding work happening across our programs. I’m also excited to collaborate with students, staff, faculty, and regional partners throughout our five-state WWAMI community to advance our shared commitment to educational excellence.”
