MS2 Foundations Phase Updates

August 29 is the end of MHS II asynchronous sessions. Review Canvas for final deliverables and ensure all assignments, evaluations, and logs are submitted before your next course begins.

Triple I summer research portion is ending soon and you should be starting preparation for the Triple I fall symposium.  All summer Triple I work must be completed by August 23rd. Please check Triple I Canvas for Fall site-specific poster symposium information. To assist you with any last minute questions or concerns, Triple I is hosting office hours: Office Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6–7 PM PST via Zoom

For help with data analysis and biostatistics for your project visit the Statistics Resources module on the Triple I Canvas page

Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month

This advice is for all students and includes first-generation and BIPOC student lenses.

Consider setting up shadowing in specialties you are interested in or making plans with your Triple I mentors for in-person/virtual research projects — even short case reports. Step 1 dedicated and clinical rotations come quickly, and you won’t have much time to plan for those activities once they start.

As it will be unlikely that you can shadow in your MS3 year, use yourAAMC(Careers in Medicine) CIM interest assessment as a launch for shadowing, especially if you are interested in specialties outside the third-year core clerkships.
