AMBOSS Subscription
On July 18 students should have received an email from AMBOSS regarding an 18-month subscription to support you through the Foundations Phase. You’ll use AMBOSS in every block moving forward, starting with FMR.
Please review the information in that email to activate your account.
If you didn’t receive the AMBOSS email or have questions, please review our UWSOM access website. If you are still experiencing challenges with accessing your subscription, reach out to AMBOSS Customer Support.
Career Advising Student Advisory Board Tip of the Month
This advice is for all students and includes first-generation and BIPOC student lenses.
Welcome MS1s! Every month, you’ll get a tip in this newsletter to help your career planning stay on track.
You’ll soon get tons of emails about extracurriculars, which might feel overwhelming during FMR—but try to think big picture about what interests you career-wise. If you can, consider taking on a leadership role in an interest group, a volunteer project, or a committee. Don’t overcommit but choosing one or two things to focus on this year is a fantastic way to kick off med school! Career Advising will follow up in early fall with tips on how to approach your involvement.
Pathway applications will also open this fall and can be very helpful in learning how to better serve minoritized and underserved communities. Learn more about Pathways.
