Dr. Rachel Ellenbogen is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. She received her M.D. from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. She went on to complete a Fellowship in Faculty Development and a Master’s in Health Professions Education at the University of Rochester. At the University of Washington, she serves as a Family Medicine Specialty Advisor and practices primary care at the UW Ravenna Clinic. She enjoys working with medical students as they pursue their career goals. She has a particular interest in motivational psychology and how it can support meaningful partnerships with students.

Rachel is originally from the Seattle area and is excited to be back home. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their daughter.
