The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) is thrilled to share an outstanding opportunity for medical students at the USCAP 2027 Annual Meeting. The meeting will take place March 13-18, 2027 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This year’s meeting will feature a special two-part workshop designed exclusively for medical students, offering a hands-on, interactive introduction to one of the most dynamic fields in medicine: genomic testing.
This interactive, case-based workshop introduces students to the principles and practical applications of genetic and genomic testing in patient care. Regardless of specialty choice, understanding genomic testing will be essential in modern medical practice. Participants will gain experience interpreting real patient reports and slides and will receive guided, hands-on instruction using online genomic pathology tools.
Travel Awards up to $1,000 are available to support students in attending this workshop. Travel awards to attend the workshop will be provided to current U.S. and Canadian citizens/permanent residents. Other international students are not eligible to receive an award, but are still encouraged to submit an application for a slot in the workshop.
To learn more about this workshop, visit the USCAP website and apply by December 2, 2026.
