Pathways at UW School of Medicine are designed to engage medical students interested in learning more about diverse populations, disparities in health that ensue due to social determinants of health, and community resilience in the face of exceptional challenges in health and access to healthcare.
The UW Office of Healthcare Equity (OHCE) hosts 6 Pathways and the Community-Urban Scholars Program (CUSP) that offer students the opportunity to pursue their interest and develop knowledge and skills specifically tailored to working with underserved populations
Each pathway is designed to help students develop specialized knowledge and practical skills tailored to working with historically underserved and underrepresented communities.
