Forty Idaho WWAMI students celebrated the culmination of their medical school journey during the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Physician’s Oath and Hooding Ceremony on May 22nd in Seattle. The Class of 2026 included five Targeted Rural and Underserved Track (TRUST) scholars, reflecting Idaho WWAMI’s commitment to preparing physicians to serve rural and underserved communities. 
During the ceremony, graduates were hooded by faculty members and recited the Physician’s Oath, marking their transition from medical students to physicians. Surrounded by family, friends and mentors, they celebrated years of hard work, dedication and service.
The ceremony recognized not only the academic achievements of the graduates, but also their readiness to take on the responsibilities of the medical profession. Idaho WWAMI faculty joined colleagues from across the five-state WWAMI region in honoring the newest physicians as they prepared to begin residency training and the next chapter of their careers.
