Wyoming WWAMI celebrated 21 graduates this year at Physician’s Oath and Hooding Ceremony in Seattle on May 22nd. It was a wonderful day well attended by friends and family, WWAMI faculty and staff and Wyoming physicians and hospital administrators.
The Physician’s Oath and Hooding Ceremony served as the capstone to a week of graduation festivities where all Wyoming WWAMI graduates received their doctoral hoods from Deans Rob Monger, Edith Wang, and Todd Guth as well as College Mentor Head Julie Carlson. There were also special Blanket and Pathways Ceremonies for students who participated in the dedicated Native American track and other specific pathways, such as the Underserved Pathway. Several graduation dinners sponsored by Wyoming hospitals and Wyoming Health Resource Network (WHRN) also took place over the week.
“I was excited to see the outpouring of support not only from Wyoming WWAMI faculty and staff who were in attendance at the graduation events but also Amanda Teppo from WHRN and the Wyoming Hospital administrators who came to Seattle to support and encourage our graduating WWAMI Students, “ noted Todd Guth, Director of the Wyoming WWAMI Medical Education Program. “We are tremendously proud of our graduates and wish them great success as they move into their residencies in the coming weeks.”
