Montana WWAMI’s second-year medical students reached an important milestone this month as they gathered at the Gallatin Labor Temple in Bozeman for the E-24 (Entering class of 2024) Foundations Celebration. The beach theme of the festive occasion was called:🌴🤿Tropical Cruise – A last Hoorah Before Dedicated!🌺🏖️. Held on December 12, 2025, the event signaled the shift from the first 18 months of foundational medical education to hands-on clinical training in patient care settings.

During the celebration, Dr. Laura Goodell received the 2025 Montana WWAMI Foundations Excellence in Teaching Award, honoring her exceptional commitment to teaching, mentorship and compassion. Her influence reflects the values guiding students forward as they prepare to enter the next phase of their medical education.
As the students step into the clinical phase, they are united by a shared purpose: to learn from patients, serve communities across the WWAMI region, and continue developing the skills and integrity essential to lifelong medical practice.
