Alaska WWAM TRUST Scholar Abigail Moffett Returns to Juneau for RUOP Experience

Meet Abigail Moffett, a rising second-year student at UW School of Medicine’s Alaska Foundations site! Abigail kicked off her RUOP rotation in Juneau on June 29th. As a TRUST student, she’s stepped in with an existing connection to the community.

“Juneau has been a wonderful place as a TRUST site in my experience, and both patients and providers are really willing to engage with me as a med student,” she said.

Inspired by her physician parents, Abigail is drawn to primary care for the lasting relationships it builds — and she’s hoping to specialize in pediatrics down the road. Long term, she hopes to practice in a smaller, rural Alaska community.

Outside the clinic? She’s usually baking, cross-country skiing, or tending to her (extensive) houseplant collection.
