Dr. Sarah Greenberg works as a pediatric general and thoracic surgeon with a primary focus on equity, global surgery, and planetary health. Her clinical practice is based at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and she holds the position of Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington. A Pacific Northwest native, she grew up on a small farm in Snohomish. She attended the University of Washington as an undergrad with a major in biology. Subsequent medical studies took her to Syracuse, Milwaukee, Boston, Haiti, London and Dubai before returning home to complete pediatric surgical training. She is passionate about centering humanity, dignity and interconnection within biomedical training and care delivery.
A current resident of Vashon Island, she loves to jump into the Puget Sound, do yoga, and write in her spare time.
