Tonja Brown, MA
Career Advisor for Idaho and Spokane students
My approach is student-centered, focused on providing relevant information so that you can make informed decisions and achieve your goals.
Spending more than a decade working at Seattle University before UWSOM, I previously held positions at Edmonds Community College, Santa Clara University, and Washington Mutual Bank. I attended Seattle University where I earned a Master of Arts degree in Education. I am a proud Husky, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington. Go Dawgs!
In the spring, summer, and fall I row on the Spokane River with the Spokane River Rowing Association, run through Spokane’s parks, and explore the outdoors with my husband and two children. In the winter you will find me cross-country skiing at Mt. Spokane, at the gym on a rowing machine, or reading a book.
My piece of career exploration (and life) advice: Never be afraid to ask. The worst they can say is ‘no.’
