I’ll provide you with resources, advice, and encouragement as your partner in the career planning process.

My professional background is in higher education. Prior to joining the UWSOM Career Advising team, I was an assistant professor of history at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. I earned my BA from the University of Washington and my MA and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I also spent time working as an instructor. I continue to research and write, and am looking forward to the publication of my first book on medieval Scandinavian history in 2026.

Outside of the office, I like to spend my time reading, knitting, birdwatching, and watching women’s sports. I have family in England and spend time each year visiting and traveling throughout the UK.
