Students welcome to join Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association

Published on

The student leaders of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association invite all students to join the APAMSA community and follow events throughout the year! Please use this link to fill out a very short (1 minute) interest form so they can subscribe you to the listserv and Slack channel, to learn about upcoming service learning and community-building events.

Here is a quick Q & A about APAMSA:

What is APAMSA?

The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) is a national organization that aims to address the unique health challenges of Asian Pacific American communities through education, outreach, advocacy, and service.

What does APAMSA do?

APAMSA participates in service learning events such as Tết in Seattle, Southeast Asian Pacific Islander Health Education Summit, and a winter food drive partnered with Asian Counseling and Referral Service. The UW APAMSA chapter also strives to mentor and prepare pre-medical undergraduates in the Seattle Area, with focused outreach to students from backgrounds underrepresented in the medical field, for a successful medical school application cycle. Throughout the year, they also build community through monthly journal clubs and dinner outings.
