Deadline is Sept. 5 to apply for medical student conference travel grant

The fall application cycle for the medical student conference travel grants are now open through September 5. Supported by the MSA & Academic Affairs, the medical student conference travel grant provides support to medical students to attend a virtual or in-person conference. Funding may go towards conference registration fees or airfare only. It cannot be used for accommodation, food, parking, other supplementary expenses, or to fund research. Applications are reviewed by the MSA board through a blinded process.

Travel Grant Details:

  • WHAT: Travel grants offer monetary support toward conference registration to attend a virtual or in-person conference.
  • WHEN: The current application window is now through September 5. Late applications will not be accepted. The winter application window will open in January 2023.
  • WHO: Any UW School of Medicine medical student may apply for the grant
  • HOW: Applications must be submitted via the following form: https://forms.office.com/r/B1e4MRDazk

Applicants will be notified of the decision status approximately 3 weeks after the deadline closes (around the end of September).
