Washington health sciences students speak out to lawmakers

Through the organization Health Equity Circle, students across health science disciplines (including nursing, medicine, public health, and social work) from UW and WSU came together to lobby legislators in Olympia on bills that promote health equity. 

Health Equity Circle is a statewide student organization, comprised of interdisciplinary college and graduate students from UW and WSU, who come together to advocate for causes that reduce disparities and advance social justice. Lobby Day is an annual Health Equity Circle event that happens on Presidents Day.

Participating UWSOM students included Hailey Briseno, Antonio Guadamuz, Graham Harris, Skye Holm, Anders Ledell, Victoria Lo, Amelia Mohabir, Kelly Park, Nadia Popovici, Anand Rajesh and Evan Scholten.
