Would you like to be an Admissions Ambassador?

Published on

When you were considering medical school, and then later applying, did you get a chance to talk to kind, helpful current students? Were you not able to, but wished you could have?
Join the Admissions Ambassadors Program and help future medical students by being there for them!
As an ambassador, you’ll be an important part of the medical education ecosystem by helping our office connect with future students. Your participation level in virtual and in-person opportunities will be up to you and your schedule. Please see the attached document for more information about this volunteer opportunity.
Sign up (it only takes a moment!) by Thursday, Sept. 1. You’ll need to be signed in to your UW account to do the form.
As circumstances may have changed since last year’s sign-ups, if you’ve signed up to be an Ambassador in the past, we’re asking that you sign up again this year.
This year, those who sign up to be Ambassadors can apply for a paid position, Lead Ambassador. Example job duties:

  • Be a student voice in UWSOM recruitment
  • Organize Zoom info sessions for interviewing applicants
  • Help recruit volunteers for outreach opportunities
  • Seattle-based leads will give tours of that campus

The Admissions Team hopes to have students from each site and every year involved so that applicants will have someone to reach out to with questions.
