Fred Hutch seeks medical students in Seattle area as volunteer mentors

The Fred Hutch Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) is looking for UWSOM students of any year to volunteer in person for the following roles:

  • Reviewers of personal statements by interns for medical school and dual degree programs on July 19, noon to 1 p.m., PT
  • Table captains for speed mentoring sessions (pictured) to share advice on successful admission to medical school on July 13, 5 to 7 p.m., PT
  • Poster session judges on Aug.13, 2 to 4 p.m., PT

SURP is a nine-week internship for undergraduates entering the summer before their final year, semester or quarter of study. Please contact Marilyn Drennan if you are interested in one or more of these volunteer opportunities
