WRITE 2.0 launched Spring Quarter 2023.<\/p>\n

To provide background, in early 2021, the members of the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Workgroup recommended to the Curriculum Committee substantial novel changes to WRITE to make it a more collaborative, mission-driven program targeted to educating WWAMI medical students interested in the practice of rural medicine.<\/p>\n

To accomplish that mission and in the collaborative approach envisioned by the LIC Workgroup and the Curriculum Committee, the Department of Family Medicine will be administering WRITE with assistance from the Office of Rural Programs. We are looking forward to implementing the curricular changes and to a close collaboration with the Departments of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Ob\/Gyn, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry that will make WRITE 2.0 a model program for rural-based LIC.<\/p>\n
