During Your E&F Appointment

Scheduling Appointment #1:  15 minutes

You may schedule two courses:

  1. Sub-I or APC, and
  2. Emergency Medicine or Neurology

Already taken or scheduled one of these? You cannot schedule an additional course in these categories, but you may:

  • Drop your currently scheduled APC/APC Sub-I to add an alternative one, or
  • Decline this appointment—you will be able to add additional APCs/APC Sub-Is during appointments 3 and 4.

Scheduling Appointment #2:  15 minutes

You may schedule two courses:

  1. If you added a Sub-I during your first appointment, you must add an APC; if you added an APC during your first appointment you must add a Sub-I
  2. If you added Neurology during your first appointment, you must add Emergency Medicine; if you added Emergency Medicine in your first appointment you must add Neurology

  • Decline this appointment—you will be able to add additional APCs/APC Sub-Is during appointments 3 and 4.

Scheduling Appointment #3:  20 minutes

You may schedule 16 credits, either:

  • 16 elective credits, or
  • 8 elective credits + 8 credits APC/Sub-I.

Note: Excess APC/Sub-I credits count toward the clinical elective requirement.


Scheduling Appointment #4:  20 minutes

You may schedule 24 credits, either:

  • 24 elective credits
  • 16 elective credits + 8 credits APC/Sub-I.

Note: Excess APC/Sub-I credits count toward the clinical elective requirement.

Very important notes about your final schedule:

By the end of the fourth appointment you must have at least one clerkship in Spring 2023, Summer 2023, Autumn 2032 and Winter 2024. Many will also have at least one clerkship in Spring 2024.

Credits beyond those required to meet graduation requirements may be added during open scheduling after all students have completed appointment 4.
